TESTIMONIALS
"The course was so useful in helping me understand my computer and more importantly (for me personally) in helping me have a better understanding of expectations with regards to working as a transcriptionist. And the instructor was wonderful!"

"The amount of information given by the instructor is vital for a fledgling transcriptionist! I cannot imagine taking the entire course without what I have learned over the past week. There are several main aspects of the module that stood out for me. The first was being able to see what an actual transcription looked like. Secondly, the computer maintenance portion of the module was terrific! I’m not exactly unfamiliar with computers, but the instructor showed me things about my computer that prior to this were completely unknown to me. Thirdly, the instructor was able to explain many of the possible transcription platforms – how they differ and how they are similar, as well as how many of them work – and that was a huge help! Finally, her practical experience as a transcriptionist “made” the whole seminar for me. She answered questions regarding types of available jobs, the different pay scales and rates per line, different work schedules which are possible – basically all sorts of “practical” questions, which she unfailingly answered thoroughly, patiently and completely. And lastly I would like to say that the instructor was wonderful! She has a great sense of humor, an inordinate amount of patience, very easy to understand and she made what could have been fairly dry information (ex. computer maintenance - not the MOST exciting topic in the world) very interesting and informative."

"I think that the course was jam packed with lots of great information. Tawyna typed out eveything she went over with us so that we could print it later and concentrate on the demonstrations instead of taking notes. Tawyna took the time that was needed to be sure we all understood before she moved on. We also got a "bonus" page that included information on where "newbies" can look for work and online reference materials."

"The best part of the course for me was not only learning how to do the formatting, but the fact that Tawyna responded to the questions right then & worked with me until I 'got it'. My frustration level has been lowered considerably, which frees me to focus more easily on the challenges of the transcription course. Tawyna is a professional, an expert and a wealth of information and she's fun! Laughter lowers the intensity of the course load, thank you for that! I could take in only so much information, unfortunately, as the [transcription] course load has me suffering the 'leaky brain syndrome'. That said, I wonder if Tawyna would offer a Formatting Part II for those of us 'newbies' who may need more help later on once we begin working in the 'real world'.

"I cannot count the numerous times I needed assistance with my computer or help with a document, spreadsheet or powerpoint presentation. This young lady can assist with spreadsheets, saving documents, defragment, disk clean up and I can go on and on. She went as far as uninstalling all my programs and reinstalling to get rid of a virus I downloaded (Antivirus 2009). The instructor is an expert and I can call her at anytime and she is always willing to assist. You will be amazed by her computer knowledge and talent."
